I have an RG350, RG350M and RG351P now….maybe Anbernic need to sponsor you 🙂
I’ve opted to use 351Elec on my RG351P and I’m very happy with the experience.
You’ve also saved my life with the Windows 10 “format disk” issue!
I hope we see a metal RG351M soon for review.
Thank you!

Any suggestions? It seems I need that button to actually exit a lot of emulators/bring up menus. Not sure if it’s worth updating firmware, etc.. if this is a hardware issue. I’m not sure how to tell…

I have just bought a RG350, second hand form a local auction. Judging by whats on board, I am guessing the seller got frustrated and gave up. To avoid having the same issue, I intend to read through your guides thoroughly until I am understanding how to get the most out of it. At this stage it seems a bit overwhelming, but I am only just beginning to learn 🙂

You’ve covered the Doom mods, might I suggest Solarus? (Zelda mods.) Plus I love ports, but you only have one that I didn’t have (Marathon) and I was wondering if you knew of any others? Rom hacks are also appreciated (not the higher difficulty ones, but the ones like Ash Williams/Evil Dead in Splatterhouse) and the new games that have been made for older systems like Deadpool NES or Rick and Morty NES. It’s become my hobby/addiction since the pandemic and websites like yours have been a Godsend. LDK and the Retroid Pocket were pretty easy, but the RG350 has been like taking a college course in retro gaming. Thank you for being awesome!

Hi Vikaash, great question. Your save sates are going to be all over the place, because no emulator is consistent. For example, your SNES save states will be .sv0 files in the media/data/local/home/.pocketsnes folder, while your NES save states will be .sav files in the media/data/local/home/fceux/sav folder. So you’ll want to look around for them and save them to your computer, then drag them back in after your firmware update. Note that transferring save states is not a foolproof process — you’ll want to make sure you’re using the same emulator as before, since many are not cross-compatible. Hope this helps! If you have trouble finding your save states for a specific platform, let me know and I’ll try to find it for you.

I will start updating my firmware according to your suggestions! I am however reluctant to do it without backing up my save states. Do you know how to do that?
